Why Do Elementary Particles Have Such Strange Mass Ratios?—The Importance of Quantum Gravity at Low Energies

چکیده

When gravity is quantum, the point structure of space-time should be replaced by a non-commutative geometry. This true even for quantum in infrared. Using octonions as coordinates, we construct pre-spacetime, pre-quantum Lagrangian dynamics. We show that symmetries this space unify standard model particle physics with $SU(2)_R$ chiral gravity. The algebra octonionic yields spinor states which can identified three generations quarks and leptons. geometry implies quantisation electric charge, leads to theoretical derivation mysterious mass ratios charged Quantum not only gravitational field, but also space-time.

Why Do Self-Employed Immigrants in Denmark and Sweden Have Such Low Incomes?

Why Do Self-Employed Immigrants in Denmark and Sweden Have Such Low Incomes? When studying income differences and income distribution, the self-employed are often excluded from the population studied. There are several good reasons for this, for example that incomes from self-employment are not reported to the same extent as incomes from being an employee. On the other hand it is a problem to e...

Black Holes and Massive Elementary Particles in Resummed Quantum Gravity †

Einstein's general theory of relativity poses many problems to the quantum theory of point particle fields. Among them is the fate of a massive point particle. Since its rest mass exists entirely within its Schwarzschild radius, in the classical solutions of Einstein's theory, the respective system should be a black hole. We address this issue using exact results in a new approach to quantum gr...

Massive Elementary Particles and Black Holes in Resummed Quantum Gravity

We use exact results in a new approach to quantum gravity to show that the classical conclusion that a massive elementary point particle is a black hole is obviated by quantum loop effects. Further phenomenological implications are discussed.

Low mass dilepton production at ultrarelativistic energies

Dilepton production in pp and Au+Au nucleus-nucleus collisions at √ s = 200 GeV as well as in In+In and Pb+Au at 158 A·GeV is studied within the microscopic HSD transport approach. A comparison to the data from the PHENIX Collaboration at RHIC shows that standard in-medium effects of the ρ, ω vector mesons compatible with the NA60 data for In+ In at 158 A·GeV and the CERES data for Pb+Au at 158...

Deformed Quantum Field Theory, Thermodynamics at Low and High Energies, and Gravity. II. Deformation Parameter

The principal objective of this paper is to show that deformation of the General Relativity within the scope of both the Generalized Uncertainty Principle (UV-cutoff) and the Extended Uncertainty Principle (IR-cutoff) in the cases when the corresponding gravitational equations have a thermodynamic interpretation may be studied in terms of a small parameter introduced in previous works of the au...
